    Which size do I need?

    A 38mm core clears 22mm and 28mm copper pipe with room to spare. A 32mm waste pipe measures about 36mm outside, so a 42mm core gives it around 3mm clearance each side.

    Dry or wet core?

    Dry cores (DCU350, DCU550, DCU750X, PC850 and CCU850X) cut without water, so with dust extraction there is no slurry to clean up indoors. The PC850 also runs from a percussion drill. Wet cores (the WCU and WF850X ranges) need a water feed, are the usual choice for heavily reinforced concrete and are often used on a drilling rig. The CCW850X is a semi-wet core that needs only a little water.
