More about this range
A rake on its own is half the setup. These kits pair the cutting tool with a depth-adjustable extraction guard, so you get a consistent rake depth and the silica goes into the vacuum instead of your lungs.
What is in a kit
-
The rake - a diamond rake pin or raking blade, depending on the kit.
-
A depth-adjustable guard - aluminium adjustment rings set the rake depth once and hold it across the whole wall.
-
Extraction port - connects to an M-class vacuum for on-tool dust capture.
-
Adjustment hardware - tightening screws and allen key for quick changes on site.
Which kit
The diamond mortar rake starter kit is the usual first buy for a contractor moving off a chisel. The repointing starter kit covers the same ground with a different rake. The VR750 raking kit fits 115 mm and 125 mm grinders and handles horizontal and vertical joints with precision depth adjustment.
Buying the parts separately
Already own a guard? Buy the cutting tool on its own - raking blades for long bed-joint runs, rake bits and pins for perps and detail. Guards on their own are in dust control attachments.
