Angle Grinder Dust Shroud for Surface Grinding - 125mm, Brush Skirt & Hose Port

No reviews yet

The My Tool Expert Angle Grinder Dust Shroud is a surface grinding dust shroud for 125mm angle grinders and cup wheels, with a brush skirt, floating 4-axis base, removable edge section, hose port and 41-45mm collar adapter rings. Choose it for dust-controlled grinding of concrete and stone. Not suitable for cutting or mortar raking.

Description

The My Tool Expert angle grinder dust shroud turns a 125mm angle grinder into a dust-controlled surface grinder for concrete, stone and masonry. It encloses a grinding cup wheel, seals against the surface with a brush skirt and draws the dust away through a hose port to your dust extractor or vacuum, so it is captured at source instead of spreading across the room.

A floating 4-axis base keeps the shroud flat on the surface as you work, and a removable edge section lets you grind flush up to walls, kerbs and into tight spots. It clamps to the collar of the grinder, with four adapter rings (41, 42, 43 and 45mm) included to fit most 125mm angle grinders.

Features

  • Dust extraction at source - the hose port takes the hose of most common dust extractors and vacuums.
  • Brush skirt seal - an interchangeable brush keeps contact with the surface, including uneven floors, to hold the dust inside the shroud.
  • Floating 4-axis base - keeps the shroud flat on the surface at all times.
  • Removable edge section - take it off to grind flush along walls, kerbs and edges, then refit it for open areas.
  • Fits most 125mm grinders - collar clamp with 41, 42, 43 and 45mm adapter rings and a lock washer.
  • For 125mm grinding cup wheels - such as our 125mm diamond grinding cup wheel.

What it is for

Use it with a diamond grinding cup wheel to level concrete and screed, remove tile adhesive, carpet glue, paint and coatings, and smooth stone and masonry, indoors or out. It is a surface grinding shroud only: it is not designed for cutting discs, mortar raking or wall chasing. For those jobs use our dust extraction guard for cutting and mortar raking.

Grinding concrete and stone releases respirable crystalline silica. Connect the shroud to an M-class extractor and wear suitable respiratory protection. Want the wheel as well? The concrete grinding kit pairs this shroud with our 125mm diamond cup wheel. Compare all our angle grinder dust shrouds and extraction guards.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my angle grinder?
It fits most 125mm angle grinders. It clamps to the collar around the spindle, and adapter rings for 41, 42, 43 and 45mm collars are included. Check your grinder's collar diameter before ordering.
Does it come with a grinding wheel?
No, the shroud is sold on its own. Our 125mm diamond grinding cup wheel fits it, and both come together in the concrete grinding kit.
Can I use it for cutting or mortar raking?
No. It is a surface grinding shroud for cup wheels. For cutting and raking, use our dust extraction guard for cutting and mortar raking.
What do I connect it to?
The hose port takes the hose of most common dust extractors and vacuums. For concrete and stone dust, use an M-class extractor.
Can I grind right up to a wall?
Yes. Remove the edge section to grind flush along walls, edges and into tight spots, then refit it for open areas.
